Quainton Virtual Stockbook - Where are they now?
Hibberd 4wDM No. 2586
This 2' 0" gauge engine originally left Quainton for the Island Narrow Gauge Group, Isle of White in April 1974. In the coarse of its preservation career it has also spent time at the Great Bush Railway, Hadlow Down, Sussex, where it was named Tuesday, carrying the running Number 8. It then moved to the Surrey Light Railway in 1976, before moving to the Lowthers Railway Society, Leadhills, Strathclyde in 1988. It also spent time at the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway, Bedfordshire. It is currently located at the Moseley Railway Trust, Apedale Heritage Centre, Chesterton, Staffordshire, where it is dismantled awaiting restoration.
