Quainton Virtual Stockbook - Where are they now?
Narrow Gauge Passenger Truck
This quarry wagon was brought to Quainton by a member along with Holy War. It was kept with two narrow gauge bobbin wagons (1 2) under tarpaulins alongside the container that formed Holy War's shed. This wagon was a four seater passenger truck, one of three used by the Royal Family in 1967 when they visited Dinorwic. This wagon, as well as one of the bobbin wagons, left Quainton on the 15th March 1975 for the Brockham Narrow Gauge Museum near Dorking in Surrey. When this site closed most of the exhibits were moved to the Amberley Chalk Pits Museum. Reference: |
