Robert Frise - GWR Brake Van No. 68766 in Up Yard

This is an example of a standard GWR brake van, code named Toad. Very similar to No. 68642, this van spent all its working life based at Oxley sidings, before transfer to Didcot for use by Permanent Way Engineers on ballast and works trains. It was withdrawn from British Rail service in August 1977, and subsequently purchased from Swindon in October 1977 by a QRS member, arriving at Quainton in December that year. It is now restored to GWR livery.
