Sentinel Road Tractor S5644 The Elephant

This ungainly Sentinel road tractor was a fascinating addition to Quaintons activities in the early 1970's occasionally steaming around the site. In the 1960's it was well known for its previous life at the Quay sidings in Teignmouth, Devon. It was sold in 1975 and was moved to Bishops Waltham, Hampshire. It appeared at several traction engine rallys in the South of England during the 1970s.

The Elephant is now based in The Netherlands, but it still appears occasionally at traction engine rallys in the UK.
