Tony Lyster - Burn Pit at the end of Platform 1

This blue brick walled pit is at the south end of Platform 1. Quite how much use it had in the old railway days is hard to judge as they could not have produced as much rubbish as a more significant station. It is 7ft 6in square and 30 inch high and is no longer used for fires.
